Terms of trade

We supply businesses: repair workshops, trade counters, retailers and distributors. Orders are placed in the course of a business, so consumer distance-selling rights do not apply; the returns terms below apply instead and are more generous than trade custom requires.

Each line carries a stated minimum order. Once that minimum is met, you may add further units one piece at a time. Bulk programme lines run from one thousand units per line.

An order is accepted when we confirm it in writing and, where required, when cleared funds or an agreed deposit are received.

London stock is priced in pounds sterling. China lane and bulk programme lines are priced in renminbi and converted at the rate shown on the day of confirmation. Prices exclude freight and any duty or import charges unless the line is quoted DDP.

The landed-cost calculator on this site gives an estimate for planning. A locked quote is issued by the desk against your actual weights, volumes and commodity codes.

London stock ordered before 15:00 GMT is dispatched the same working day. The China air lane runs to a five day landing. Bulk pre-orders run twelve to fifteen days. Times are working estimates and do not form a contractual guarantee where a carrier, customs authority or factory delays a consignment beyond our control.

Risk passes on delivery to you or your nominated carrier. Title passes when we receive payment in full.

We accept UK bank transfer, card payment through our processor, and cash at the London counter or at an overseas desk. Approved trade accounts may settle on agreed terms. Goods remain our property until paid for in full.

Returns are accepted within seven days of delivery, no questions asked, provided goods are complete and in saleable condition. Return to the London desk; we issue credit or replacement on inspection.

Beyond seven days, faulty goods are handled under the warranty stated on the line. Batch test reports are available on request for any line we supply.

Our liability for any claim is limited to the invoiced value of the goods concerned. We do not exclude liability where the law forbids it. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
